Kung Hei Fat Choy! 2011

In recognition of the Chinese Lunar Year of the Rabbit, we celebrate eight (lucky) Rabbit brands / trade marks.

1.       Sartorial Bunny

The tuxedo clad rabbit image is the iconic brand of Playboy Enterprises, Inc., a business founded by great-great-grandfather figure Hugh Hefner.  The logo is used in connection with publishing, entertainment and licensing.

The bunny branding had a physical manifestation in the form of the Playboy Bunny costume.  This outfit was apparently the first service uniform registered with the United States Patent and Trade Mark Office -FULL POST>

Patent Bubble – Stay Out of Trouble

Year 2016: A global Intellectual Property bubble with a massive ‘pump and dump’ operation was one scenario forecast by European Patent Office published in “Scenario for the Future” (2007).1

Problem:

Is the European Patent Office prophetic and could we be heading for another crisis?

Maybe – at a stretch: The value of companies in the high tech sector has been increasing for many years now mainly due to their intangible asset valuation increases.

Intangible assets – especially patents – are open to manipulation in value, which in turn leads to excessive trolling.  -FULL POST>
